By tram. Traveling time: 30 minutes
There is a direct tram from the airport to Central Edinburgh. ( Last stop York Place)
The journey takes approximately 30 min.( unaffected by 'rush hour ' traffic) During the day, the tram runs approx. every 10 minutes.
(Cost £5.00 (6 euros))

By bus. Traveling time: 30-40 minutes ( designated bus  lanes ensure journey time is only marginally affected in 'rush hour' )
There is an 'express' service from the airport terminating at  Waverley train station.
(Cost £4.00 (5 euros))
(There is also the normal public service which is only £1.50, but takes about an hour owing to number of stops en route.)

By taxi. Traveling time: 20-30 minutes (depending on the time of the day, i.e. traffic)
(Cost £22.00 (26 euros))

Train

Folk coming from other parts of GB  can use express train services, stopping at Edinburgh Haymarket (west end) and Edinburgh Waverley (centre). Trains in GB are relatively expensive (and slower) compared with other EU countries, so unless you have a phobia of  flying, or have a hard to resist fare from Tel Aviv to Manchester, I wouldn't choose to travel long distances by train here.

Bus

Excellent coach services across GB, and usually very economic, but fairly slow.
